Just wait till you are 18 then their say wont really mean anything because you can get it without their consent.

Most reputable(ie, the places you should go) tattoo artists will not tattoo anyone under the age of 18, regardless of whether or not you have parental consent. Here in Texas the laws consider it child abuse.

personally I would wait to get one. Your taste will change about 90% in about 3 years. Trust me!! I got a tattoo when i was 19 and now 5 years later, It is already starting to look like an old tattoo. like the ink is spreading out in the skin. Not a lot or anything but it’s noticable to me. anyway my point is, wait to get a tatoo you know you will REALLY LOVE and get it a little bigger than you normally would so when the ink starts to spread out in your skin as all tattoos do over time, it would be really noticable.

Just remember that it’s easier to ask for forgiveness that it is to ask for permission.

Don’t ask. Go privately to someone you trust/clean. Then when you know both parents are in a great, calm atmospheric mood. Then say; "Guess what, I’ve got a tattoo you’re just goin ‘luv, dig!.
Act kinda in a "California, Valley girl" kind of way. (Bubbly, giggly, ha..ha…)

The law is if your 18 or over, then you can get your tattoo. I got mine at 36. Look at my pic real close and you can see it.

First decide what kind of tattoo you want to get. Make sure its nothing inappropiate, or else they will never say yes!
Second, research tattoo parlors and find one that looks clean and has a lot of expeirience.
Ask them in an adultlike manner and show them the tattoo you want to get and the parlor. They will be more likley to say yes if they know you put a lot of thought into to it. If they do say no, dont pitch a fit. If you make a fuss, they will remember when you are 19 and maybe asking again. The best way is to act adultlike

Really easy…dont get one at all. Tattoos are stupid and they look grose…when i see people that i have tatoos it looks like they dont care about themselves, but if you are wanting to get one then ruin your body. I have parents like yours and most likely they will never give in.

if they do agree there will be Tatto shops that will tell you they can’t do it until of age (18). it’s the law.

You don’t even know what you want, but you want a tattoo… it seems so silly to have to remind you, but you know tattoos last FOREVER right?

Think about it a couple years and then get something you really want… if you even still want one.

Make sure to find a really clean shop and take your parents to see it. When I was 16 I told my mom I wanted one for Christmas and she went and found a shop that she felt was safe. A lot of times parents want to make sure you’re safe and not going to regret what to do. Make sure to have a REASON why you want to get what you want. Most parents would want to check you’re not doing it for a dumb reason (like a boyfriend or girlfriend). Offer to go and get the tattoo with your parents (either have them come or see if they want to get one at the same time). They’ll usually say yes if they feel involved.
I don’t recommend doing it when you’re 18 and then springing it on your parents. It will just end badly. Better to make sure your parents are okay with it so you don’t end up completely ruining a relationship where your parents clearly care about you. I’ve had friends get kicked out of their houses for getting one even when they are old enough behind their parents backs.
